Fresh from an estate, a very nice pair of late nineteenth/early twentieth century Antique Victorian Painted Wood and Hand Wrought Iron Ice Skates with Curled Tips. Offered with no reserve. They measure approx. 14” long x 2-1/2” wide x 4” high (to top of curl) They are good condition with no cracks or breaks in the wood although the old mustard yellow paint shows wear commensurate with the age and use of the item. The leather straps (partially missing) insert through slots in the wooden base. Screws on the heels of each skate help secure the skate to a shoe. Wrought iron blades end in a curled tip on each skate.
