Here we have an antique Chinese carved bone figurine. This finely carved piece is a very detailed depiction of an old man with a long beard wearing a robe. The folds of the robe are very well executed. The robe is tied with a rope that has two tassels hanging down in front. He wears a cloth wrap on the back of his head that is also very well carved with two long parts hanging down his back. He is holding his hands behind his back, unfortunately the tips of six of his fingers are broken off and gone. The hands are the only parts that are damaged, otherwise it is very excellent condition. This old fellow has a wise look and a pleasant smile. He measures 10 1/4" tall and is about 2 1/2" wide at the widest point
