An 18th Century Georgian Bilston or South Staffordshire Enamel Patch Box. Printed man and women scene to the lid with the Motto Let Us Agree And Wedded Be . Late 18th century. Hinged lid with mirror inside so that patches ( fake freckles etc. ) can be accurately place on the face . Generally in good condition. Some cracking to the enamel which is common in patch boxes of this age , no chips or significant areas of chipped or missing enamel. One of the better and more desirable motto Bilston Boxes.
