This microscope comes in a very nicely fitted horizontal “clamshell” style Mahogany wood case with a lock mechanism, but minus its key. In lieu of a working lock and key, the exterior of the case is equipped with a pair of hooks and pins that keep the case lid secured when the instrument is stored inside. The interior of the case is fitted with a wood rack that holds the additional objective lenses in their brass canisters along with the extra eyepiece, the stage forceps and a pair of brass tweezers. The exterior dimensions of the wood case are 15 ¾ inches long, 7 ½ inches wide and 5 ½ inches deep. The microscope with its accessories in the case weighs about 10 pounds.
