Although he used many marks in his career the
initials "I S" in cyrillic are generally for the years 1862-1869.
Russian silver and enamel cigarette case.
The reverse is decorated with an enamel floral cartouche
with scroll and bead decoration surrounding.
The obverse has a painted enamel of a diaphanously clothed
young woman playing the tambourine with enamel bead
and scroll decorated surround.
The interior gilded with two marks: Initials & head
84 mark faint but to left of head
The case is in excellent condition
commensurate with age
