The VV-VIII Victrola Record Player was the lowest priced Victrola with a lid. This model uses a 10-inch turntable and a two-spring motor. Production was started in September of 1911, and was discontinued in 1924. The original 1911 selling price of the VIII was $40.00. At the end of the model run, it sold new for $50.00. An estimated total of 186,000 Victrola VIII's were produced.
......This auction is for an original, Victrola VV-VIII Portable Record Player with the serial number 150624. With the help of the online Victrola Database I was able to date this record player to 1922. Measuring 18 1/2“ by 14 1/2“ by 14“ the Oak Case around this Victrola is in perfect untouched condition with its original finish. As you can see in my photographs this Victrola is in very good complete, clean condition. I am far from an expert on these, so I have not tested it, however I will guarantee 100% that this 1922 Victrola VV-VIII is in complete, original condition
