vintage medical instrument or device with a candle holder a brass reflective disc and a magnifying glass. The purpose of these was to reflect light into a desired area and viewed with the magnifier. The is in real nice shape and the only brass one I have seen. Seems most of these had a chrome center. This one is over 4 pounds and has a nice industrial gun metal grey exterior. The piece is in very good condition with minimal minor wear to the finish,( a rub on the back and one small area on the back where the finish is slightly rubbed off see pic 10 and a small paint chip in the base) There are no dents dings or repairs. The brass reflector is held on by two flat head screw and is on good no wobbles. The magnifying glass is very good with no scratches and has a glass diameter of 4.5". The glass housing is all brass lots of dark patina and the stem is 3"long. The base has a bottom diameter of 6" and the candle diameter is a little over 3.5" The base is just about 8.5" tall. The brass reflector has a 12" diameter and is 2" deep. This brass has some patina and some rubs in it.
