Antique HEAVY Chelsea JE Caldwell & Co Ships Bell Clock Description: We are offering for your consideration an Antique HEAVY Chelsea JE Caldwell & Co Ships Bell Clock. This handsome timepiece dates back to the late 1920s and is quite a gorgeous clock that is surrounded by a ship's wheel. It is composed of brass and dark wood, has a matte silver tone dial with black moon hands and Arabic numerals. The serial number is 182881. It chimes a beautiful medium volume, resonant tone that is easy to hear, but not overpowering or distracting. It is in overall very good condition when you consider the age, and it has been running well, striking properly and keeping good time, but please do not expect quartz accuracy… What a regal and distinctive piece for any nautical lover!
